Whether liposuction, lipoedema surgery or a lift: your treatment takes place at the Westfalenklinik in Dortmund, from the first consultation to the final follow-up examination. The specialist clinic for plastic and aesthetic surgery has been at the same location on Rosemeyerstraße for 25 years and does not depend on external surgical centres, affiliated clinics or hospital departments, not even for nursing and care after the operation. A personal contact person accompanies you through all appointments.

You will find the clinic at Rosemeyerstraße 2–4, right on the B1/A40 and in the immediate vicinity of the Signal Iduna Park. By car, leave the B1 at the Dortmund-Hombruch exit and park on the building’s parking deck directly in front of the entrance. From the main station, take the U45 to Stadtgarten and change there to the U42 to Theodor-Fliedner-Heim. More on this under Directions.

Liposuction or lift: which procedure at the Westfalenklinik suits you?

Whether liposuction is enough or a lift is needed depends above all on whether fat or excess skin is the problem and how elastic your skin still is. With good skin quality, smaller fat deposits can be treated with liposuction, but it does not remove excess skin. If the skin has lost its firmness, for example after pregnancies or major weight loss, a lift is an option, together with liposuction if needed. After the examination, you make the decision together with your doctor in Dortmund.

RENUVION®Tightening skin through small punctures

A fine hand piece of about 4 mm uses helium plasma to heat the tissue directly under the skin, which is meant to make the connective tissue contract. RENUVION® is mainly suitable for moderately slack skin, on its own or in the same procedure as liposuction.

Excess skin and fat tissue are removed through one incision and the skin is tightened. A lift is an option if the skin no longer recovers after pregnancies, major weight loss or with age, together with liposuction if needed. Liposuction or tightening?
