  • Annual assessmentThe seal is only awarded if all requirements are met in all three areas; a new assessment takes place every year.

The Westfalenklinik Dortmund has now also obtained the myBody® quality seal. This means that the specialist clinic for plastic and aesthetic surgery’s own standard for quality management has been confirmed by external assessors, and patients can be assured that their treatment takes place according to precisely defined and measurable quality standards.

What exactly is behind the quality assessment by myBody®? In brief, all assessment criteria can be divided into three areas: medical standards, services and quality of information. Only if all requirements are met in all three areas does myBody® express its trust in the candidate in the form of the quality seal. A new assessment takes place every year to make sure that the candidate’s quality management remains at a consistently high level.

Medical standards of the specialist clinic

These include professional qualifications, continuous further training and professional specialisations. In addition, all materials and medical devices used must meet high requirements. It is likewise expected that equipment and technical apparatus are up to date in terms of maintenance and validation. Compliance with hygiene requirements is just as much part of it as the precautions taken for anaesthesia and for emergency management.

Medical criteria in detail:

  • Doctors hold a state-examined and recognised specialist title.
  • Specialty-related range of treatments in line with the specialist training regulations and the GÄCD guideline.
  • Doctors are members of at least one recognised professional society or professional association.
  • Regular further training of the doctors through seminars, congresses or practical surgical courses.
  • A competent and detailed medical consultation is ensured.
  • Patient satisfaction.
  • Use of high-quality medical devices that meet the (safety) requirements and the applicable legislation.
  • Systematic, well-founded hygiene is consistently implemented in everyday medical practice.
  • Only specially trained specialists and staff work in the field of anaesthesia and pain therapy.
  • Medical emergency readiness and emergency care are regulated.

Services of the specialist clinic

Requirements for quality standards in the areas of service and customer service include friendly and empathetic treatment of patients as well as good accessibility, prompt handling of enquiries and reliable appointment scheduling. Finally, customer satisfaction with the services provided is a further essential criterion.

Service standards in detail:

  • Fast processing and response times for patient enquiries.
  • Timely allocation of appointments adapted to patients’ wishes.
  • Prospective patients are looked after individually and personally before, during and after the treatment.
  • Support with financing questions through in-house instalment payment plans or cooperation with credit providers.

Information quality of the specialist clinic

Holders of the myBody® quality seal must also commit to maintaining proactive and open communication. This includes sufficient information for patients about treatments, the methods used and the specialists responsible. In addition, information on costs must be presented transparently and prepared in an understandable way. At the same time, it is essential that the data and information exchanged with patients are always treated confidentially and secured.

Information standards include, among others

  • Relevant information for prospective patients is always up to date.
  • Stating approximate price ranges (realistic guide prices) makes the expected cost framework visible to prospective patients even before contact is made.
  • Prospective patients have access to relevant information via the provider’s website at all times.
  • The data protection provisions of the current legal situation are consistently implemented.
