Breast lift: the procedure at the Westfalenklinik

A breast lift is usually carried out under general anaesthesia. So that we can also take good care of you after the operation, a short stay of usually 2 nights is necessary. After your breast lift in Dortmund, your body needs 4 to 6 weeks of rest to recover fully.

    Beforehand

    Day of surgery

    Support bra, then sport. Until then you wear a support bra, which supports the new shape during healing, and refrain from sport and physical exertion.

    Until week 8

    No sun on the scars. In the first eight weeks after the operation, please refrain from sunbathing and sunbeds.

How do the different breast lift methods work?

The aim of a breast lift is to optimise the breast in shape, firmness and size. Depending on the size and nature of the breast, your doctor chooses the appropriate surgical technique. These differ essentially in the incision. By removing the excess, slackened skin and possibly repositioning your nipple, the breast is given a new shape. Our doctors take particular care to achieve a result with as little scarring as possible. Wearing a support bra for the following 4 to 6 weeks is essential in order to support the new shape of your breast during healing.

Where there is a large excess of tissue, however, repositioning is necessary and also advisable in order to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result.
