For the consultation, come to Rosemeyerstraße 2–4, directly on the B1/A40 and very close to the Signal Iduna Park. By car, leave the B1 at the Dortmund-Hombruch exit, turn right into Wittekindstraße and after 700 m right into Rosemeyerstraße; you park your car on the building’s parking deck directly in front of the entrance. From the main station, the U45 takes you to Stadtgarten, and from there the U42 to Theodor-Fliedner-Heim.

    Localised fat deposits with elastic skin

    If a deposit on the abdomen, hips, thighs or arms persists despite exercise and diet, and the skin still has tension, liposuction can change the contour without additional skin tightening being necessary.

  2. 02

    Loose or excess skin

    If the skin has become slack after pregnancies, weight loss or with the years, it does not retract through liposuction. In that case skin tightening removes the excess skin; for moderately slack skin, RENUVION® may also come into question.

    Overweight

    If there is marked overweight, weight loss comes first. Liposuction or skin tightening can follow later, once the weight is stable.

    Painful legs on both sides

When liposuction in Dortmund is suitable

Liposuction removes fat between the skin and the muscles through small punctures. It comes into question above all when these points apply:

  • The skin is elastic enough to settle back into place

Tummy tuck

The tummy tuck removes excess skin and fatty tissue on the upper and lower abdomen and can be combined with tightening of the abdominal muscles. A stable weight is a prerequisite.

Thigh lift

The thigh lift takes away excess skin and fatty tissue mainly on the inner thighs and can be combined with liposuction.

Upper arm lift

In an upper arm lift, excess skin on the inside of the upper arms is removed, together with liposuction if required.

Body lift

A body lift tightens several regions of the body, for example after major weight loss, when skin is left over in many places.

Combining liposuction and skin tightening

Often the two procedures belong together: the fat is suctioned off, and the excess skin is removed in the same or a later procedure. What does liposuction with skin tightening cost in Dortmund?

Liposuction or tummy tuck: which one suits me?

If the main problem on the abdomen is a fat deposit and the skin is still elastic, liposuction may be enough. If the skin hangs over after pregnancies or weight loss, a tummy tuck removes skin and fatty tissue and can also tighten the abdominal muscles. The examination shows which option suits.

Liposuction or GLP-1 therapy?

The two pursue different aims. With GLP-1 therapy, an active ingredient is used under medical supervision to lower body weight. Liposuction, by contrast, changes the contour of individual regions and is not suitable for losing weight. Sometimes one follows the other.

Liposuction or stomach reduction?

A stomach reduction serves weight loss, at Westfalenklinik endoscopically and without an incision through the abdominal wall, combined with a change in diet. Liposuction can later shape individual deposits once the weight is stable.

Can liposuction and skin tightening be combined?

Yes, this often makes sense, for example liposuction together with a tummy tuck, thigh lift or upper arm lift. On the thighs, for example, liposuction of saddlebags can be combined with skin tightening. This makes the procedure more extensive, which is also reflected in the costs.

How can I tell whether my skin will retract after liposuction?

What matters is the elasticity of the skin, which depends on predisposition, age and earlier weight fluctuations. Only the examination gives a reliable assessment; it is hard to judge for yourself.

Is liposuction a way to lose weight?
